Instructions for the PBD Assessment Section
This section is designed to assess pupils’ Pentaksiran Bilik Darjah (PBD) in alignment with the Super Minds English Year 1 textbook.
-
Coverage by Unit: Each unit corresponds to a chapter in the textbook and includes assessment activities that cover all four core language skills — Reading, Speaking, Listening, and Writing.
-
Performance Levels (TP): The suggested Tahap Penguasaan (TP1–TP6) for each activity is indicated in the lesson title. This helps teachers quickly identify the expected level of mastery for a given task.
-
Assessment Types:
-
Some activities are auto-graded however manual marks input is required in the Google Form to allow the system to calculate the pupil’s score and assign a TP automatically via teacher's email.
-
Other activities like speaking activities require teacher input. In these cases, the teacher observes the pupil’s performance and enters the marks manually in the Google Forms.
-
-
Certificates as Evidence: Upon completion, teacher manually enters the marks from the activities and fills the Google Form and the same page. A Custom Cerificate is generated and sent automatically to the teacher's email address. This serves as evidence of achievement and provides a record for PBD monitoring. The certificate will include the pupil’s details (name, class, school), the unit and skill assessed, the completion date, and the corresponding TP level.
This structured approach ensures that teachers can administer PBD assessments efficiently whilst in their dedicated learning spaces and maintaining valid records of pupils’ progress across all skills and units.
Note / Disclaimer :These PBD (Pentaksiran Bilik Darjah) activities are provided as suggested classroom-based assessment to support teaching and learning. They are aligned with the Year 1 English curriculum but are not official assessment from the Ministry of Education.
Teachers may adapt, modify, or ignore these tasks according to their students’ needs and school requirements. The results and certificates generated here are intended for practice, progress monitoring, and record keeping only, and should not be taken as formal or official PBD reporting.
