User Accounts and Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account, including your name and email address.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You agree not to share your account with others or use another person’s account without permission.
  • Inactive accounts may be removed after two years, or earlier if there is a breach of usage policy.
  • Users may request account deletion and data removal by contacting us.

Acceptable Use

  • Akses Academy is intended for educational and non-commercial purposes only.
  • You agree not to use the platform to upload, share, or distribute harmful, offensive, or unlawful content.
  • You must not attempt to disrupt or compromise the security and functionality of the platform.

Educational Content and Media Use

The content on Akses Academy includes original materials, AI-generated visuals, audio, video, and excerpts from official Malaysian textbooks. All content is provided strictly for educational and non-commercial use.

  • Some media are sourced from royalty-free stock libraries and public YouTube videos. YouTube videos remain the property of their creators. If a rights holder requests removal of their video, we will remove it promptly upon notice.
  • AI-generated materials may unintentionally resemble existing works, individuals, or cultural expressions. Akses Academy does not claim exclusive ownership of AI-generated content and disclaims liability for unintended resemblances.
  • You may not copy, redistribute, resell, or exploit content from Akses Academy without our permission.

Third-Party Services and Plugins

Akses Academy is powered by Moodle 5.0 and its plugins, including tools such as H5P, themes, Canva for Education, Genially, and other free-to-use educational resources. By using our platform, you agree that some features may rely on these third-party services, which are governed by their own terms and policies.

Children’s Use

Akses Academy is designed for learners of all ages, including children. There is no minimum age requirement; however, children should use the platform under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or teacher. Parents, guardians, and teachers are responsible for monitoring and guiding children’s activities on the platform.

International Hosting and Data Processing

Akses Academy is hosted on Oracle Cloud Services, with servers located in Singapore. By using the platform, you acknowledge and agree that your data may be processed and stored outside Malaysia, subject to appropriate safeguards. These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.

Limitation of Liability

  • All educational content is provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or permanent storage of learning records.
  • We are not liable for damages arising from the use of our services, including unintended resemblances in AI-generated content or external third-party services.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of Akses Academy after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
