Objective: Assess pupils’ ability to name and describe food items and quantities (e.g., I’ve got three carrots in the basket), use simple present tense and numbers correctly, and speak in short guided exchanges about food in familiar contexts.

Show a basket or picture with food items. Pupils describe what is inside, e.g.,
I’ve got four apples and two bananas in the basket.
