📖 Reading (DSKP 2.1.1, 2.2.1, 2.2.2, 2.2.3) — Unit 3: Pet Show
Objective: Assess pupils’ ability to recognise and read pet-related words (e.g., dog, cat, frog, spider, lizard, elephant), understand very simple written sentences and short supported story texts, and identify specific details such as colour, number, and location in familiar contexts.

Read the Statement and Choose the Correct Picture
Pupils read short sentences and choose the correct image

Read and Choose the Correct Picture
Pupils read simple descriptive sentences, e.g., The black cat is on the chair or The lizard is in the bag, and select the correct picture from several choices.

True / False Questions
Pupils read short sentences or a three-sentence story (e.g., Ben’s small brown dog is under the table. Anna’s colourful parrot is flying above the stage.) and decide if statements like The dog is on the table are True or False.

Grading (auto TP from % score)

• 90–100 → TP6: Reads and understands pet-related words and simple sentences with ease; answers detail questions accurately and independently.

• 76–90 → TP5: Reads and responds accurately to short questions and statements with minimal support.

• 61–75 → TP4: Understands main ideas and some details in very simple sentences with support; answers simple questions.

• 41–60 → TP3: Recognises familiar pet words/phrases and matches them to pictures with guidance.

• 21–40 → TP2: Recognises a few familiar pet words or letters with support.

• 0–20 → TP1: Recognises only a few letters or words with strong support.

• 2.1.1 Recognise and sound out letters of the alphabet in English (e.g., /f/ in frog, /c/ in cat).

• 2.2.1 Recognise and read familiar high-frequency words and simple phrases (e.g., dog, green frog, black cat).

• 2.2.2 Understand with support specific details in very simple sentences (e.g., number, colour, location like in/on/under).

• 2.2.3 Understand and respond to very simple written questions or statements (e.g., True/False, Yes/No) based on short stories or descriptions.
