✍️ Writing (DSKP 3.1.1, 3.2.1, 3.2.2, 3.2.3)

Objective: To assess pupils’ ability to form letters, write familiar words, and construct simple sentences related to classroom contexts.

Activities:

  • Copy and trace simple classroom-related words (e.g., bag, book, ruler, pencil).

  • Fill in missing letters/words in simple phrases or sentences.

  • Rearrange jumbled words to form correct simple sentences.


Grading Criteria (Mapped to TP Levels):

  • 90–100: TP6 / Band 6 – Writes accurately and independently using simple sentences

  • 76–90: TP5 / Band 5 – Writes familiar words and simple sentences with minimal support

  • 61–75: TP4 / Band 4 – Writes familiar words and phrases with support

  • 41–60: TP3 / Band 3 – Copies and writes simple words with guidance

  • 21–40: TP2 / Band 2 – Copies letters and attempts familiar words with support

  • 0–20: TP1 / Band 1 – Attempts to form letters with support

  • 3.1.1 Able to copy and write in neat legible print:

    • Letters of the alphabet

  • 3.2.1 Able to write words and simple sentences using guided writing (e.g., “This is a book.”).

  • 3.2.2 Able to write simple sentences using words/phrases provided.

  • 3.2.3 Able to write simple guided information about themselves or their surroundings (e.g., “My name is Ali. I am in 1A.”).
