👂 Listening (DSKP 1.1.1, 1.2.1, 1.2.2, 1.2.4, 1.2.5) — Unit 7: Get Dressed
Objective: Assess pupils’ ability to recognise spoken action words in the present continuous tense (e.g., He is riding a bike, She is playing football, Tom is eating an apple), understand the main idea and specific details, and match the correct picture to the audio description.

Activity 

Listen and Choose the Correct Picture
Pupils listen to short sentences such as:

• He is riding a pony.

• She is eating a sandwich.

• Tom is playing football.

Grading (auto TP from % score)

• 90–100 → TP6: Understands spoken sentences in present continuous (is + ing) with ease; chooses the correct picture accurately and independently.

• 76–90 → TP5: Responds accurately to most present continuous sentences with minimal support.

• 61–75 → TP4: Understands main ideas and some details in very simple is + ing sentences with support; selects mostly correct pictures.

• 41–60 → TP3: Recognises familiar action words in is + ing sentences and follows with guidance.

• 21–40 → TP2: Recognises a few action words or sounds in is + ing with support.

• 0–20 → TP1: Recognises only a few sounds or single words with strong support.

Suggested DSKP Elements

• 1.1.1 Recognise and reproduce with support a range of high-frequency phonemes (e.g., /r/ in riding, /p/ in playing, /e/ in eating).

• 1.2.1 Understand with support the main idea of very simple sentences (e.g., He is eating.).

• 1.2.2 Understand with support specific details in very simple sentences (e.g., who is doing the action, what action is being done).

• 1.2.4 Understand short supported instructions (e.g., Choose the correct picture.).
