🗣️ Speaking (DSKP 1.1.2, 1.1.3, 1.2.6, 1.3.1) — Unit 7: Get Dressed
Objective: Assess pupils’ ability to ask and answer questions about actions using simple present continuous tense (e.g., Is Tom riding a pony?), give opinions (I think…), and confirm answers using full sentences. Pupils should be able to pronounce familiar action words clearly and respond in short guided exchanges.


Activity

Ask–Guess–Check Game

  1. Ask: Pupil looks at a silhouette picture of a cartoon character doing something (e.g., riding, playing, eating) and asks:
    Is Tom riding a pony?

  2. Answer/Guess: Pupil responds with a guess:
    No, I think he’s riding a bike.
    Yes, I think he’s riding a pony.

  3. Check & Say: Pupils see the revealed picture and confirm the correct answer:
    Tom’s riding a bike.


Grading (auto TP from % score)

  • 90–100 → TP6: Speaks clearly and confidently to ask, guess, and confirm action sentences independently using correct structures.

  • 76–90 → TP5: Asks and answers questions about actions accurately with minimal support.

  • 61–75 → TP4: Speaks short action-related phrases and answers with some support.

  • 41–60 → TP3: Asks or answers familiar action words/phrases with guidance.

  • 21–40 → TP2: Attempts to say familiar action words with support.

  • 0–20 → TP1: Produces only a few sounds or single words with strong support.

  • 1.1.2 Pronounce familiar English words and phrases clearly with support (e.g., ride, play, eat).

  • 1.1.3 Use correct intonation and stress in simple phrases and sentences with support (e.g., rising tone for Is Tom riding a pony?).

  • 1.2.6 Participate in short guided exchanges about familiar topics (e.g., asking and answering action-based questions).

  • 1.3.1 Express simple information about oneself and others (e.g., Tom’s riding a bike.).
