Objective: Assess pupils’ ability to recognise and read clothing-related words (e.g., shirt, shoes, trousers, skirt, hat), understand simple written sentences, and respond to questions by identifying details in pictures.


Activities (for PBD / H5P)

1. Read and Choose True / FalseΒ 
Pupils read short sentences such as The boy is wearing a red shirt or The girl has black shoes and select whether the statement is True or False based on the picture.


2. Read and Find the Correct Answer from the Picture
Pupils read a question or short statement such as Who is wearing a hat? or Which child is wearing a skirt? and choose the correct answer from the picture options.


Grading (auto TP from % score)

  • 90–100 β†’ TP6: Reads and understands clothing-related words and sentences with ease; answers detail questions accurately and independently.

  • 76–90 β†’ TP5: Reads and responds accurately to short questions and statements with minimal support.

  • 61–75 β†’ TP4: Understands main ideas and some details in very simple sentences with support; answers simple questions.

  • 41–60 β†’ TP3: Recognises familiar clothing words/phrases and links them to pictures with guidance.

  • 21–40 β†’ TP2: Recognises a few familiar clothing words or letters with support.

  • 0–20 β†’ TP1: Recognises only a few letters or words with strong support.


Suggested DSKP Elements

  • 2.1.1 Recognise and sound out letters of the alphabet in English (e.g., /sh/ in shirt, /h/ in hat).

  • 2.2.1 Recognise and read familiar high-frequency words and simple phrases (e.g., red shirt, blue shoes).

  • 2.2.2 Understand with support specific details in very simple phrases or sentences (e.g., colour, type of clothing).

  • 2.2.3 Understand and respond to very simple written questions or statements (e.g., True/False and multiple-choice answers based on pictures).
