Objective: Assess pupils’ ability to ask and answer simple questions using Can you …? and respond with Yes, I can. or No, I can’t.
Activities (for PBD / H5P)
1. Ask and Answer Using Can + Ability
Pupils take turns (or in pairs) asking questions such as Can you jump? / Can the robot dance?
The other pupil answers Yes, I can. or No, I can’t. (or Yes, it can. / No, it can’t.)
You may provide cue pictures or action prompts to guide them.
Encourage clear pronunciation, correct question structure, and full responses.
Grading (auto TP from % score)
90–100 → TP6: Asks and answers Can you …? questions fluently and correctly; uses full responses confidently and independently.
76–90 → TP5: Asks and answers most Can you …? questions accurately with minimal support; occasionally hesitates.
61–75 → TP4: Asks and answers simple Can you …? with some support; some errors in structure or response.
41–60 → TP3: Recognises the Can you …? pattern and attempts to ask/respond with guidance.
21–40 → TP2: Produces or responds with can / can’t occasionally with strong prompting.
0–20 → TP1: Struggles to ask or respond using can / can’t, even with heavy support.
